Overview

LiftCrew ("we", "our", "us") is a group gym training app. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

Data We Collect

• Account info - Email address and password (managed by Supabase Auth)
• Profile data - Name, username, gym name, training goals, frequency, and 1-rep max estimates
• Workout data - Session history, exercises, sets, reps, and weights
• Nutrition data - Meals you log, calorie and macro estimates, and photos you submit for AI nutrition analysis
• Crew connections - Your connections with other LiftCrew users
• Location - Only when you use "Find Gyms Near Me". Your coordinates are sent to the OpenStreetMap Overpass API to search for nearby gyms and are not stored on our servers.
• Push notification token - Stored so we can deliver crew and workout notifications via Expo push services.

How We Use Your Data

• Generate personalized AI workout plans based on your strength profile
• Sync your profile and workout history across devices
• Connect you with crew members at your gym
• Display your strength data to crew members (if you opt in)

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your fitness, strength, or nutrition data for advertising, marketing, or data mining. Your data may be shared with:

• Anthropic - Workout prompts and meal photos are sent to Claude AI to generate plans and nutrition estimates. No personal identifiers are included beyond your first name and strength numbers. Anthropic does not retain data beyond the API call.
• Supabase - Our database and auth provider, hosted in the US.
• RevenueCat - Subscription management (anonymous user IDs only). Receives your App Store or Google Play subscription status to verify entitlements.
• Expo / Apple Push Notification Service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging - Delivers push notifications to your device.
• OpenStreetMap Overpass API - Receives your coordinates only when you tap "Find Gyms Near Me" to return a list of nearby fitness centres.
• Apple / Google - Handle in-app purchases and authentication when you sign in with Apple or Google.

Fitness and Health Data

LiftCrew collects training, strength, and nutrition data to power the app's core features. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with data brokers. Meal photos are transmitted to Anthropic solely to compute calorie and macro estimates and are not retained by Anthropic beyond the API call.

Your Rights

• View and edit your profile data at any time in the app
• Control visibility of your profile and strength data in Privacy settings
• Delete your account and all associated data permanently from Settings
• Export your data by contacting us

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed from our servers.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), Row Level Security on all database tables, and secure authentication via Supabase.

Children

LiftCrew is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
